Powerful strikes with the non-rebound forestry sledge from Halder
Wear-resistant and resilient inserts made of special nylon
The wooden stake is pounded into the ground - one strike at a time. An arduous job indeed! And one that can be even more tedious if the heads of the wooden stakes keep splintering under the blows of an ordinary sledge hammer. Wood is, after all, softer than steel. When you work with a non-rebound forestry sledge made by Erwin Halder KG this will happen less frequently and with less severity if it does happen. Gentle on the material, the inserts made of special nylon leave the stake largely intact – even though the tool delivers great impact force thanks to the shot filling in the tubular head.
The forestry sledge made by Erwin Halder KG is the perfect soft-face mallet for driving in wooden stakes in a gentle manner and without causing too much damage to the stakes. This is made possible by its flat inserts made of special nylon. Considerably softer than conventional steel hammers, the inserts are better suited for delicate materials such as wood and thus allow for work with greatly reduced noise and strain on the joints. What is more, the replaceable inserts are exceptionally resilient and wear-resistant. They will never chip - even in temperatures below freezing. The inserts offer outstanding impact qualities and are guaranteed to combine maximum strength with unique durability.
Moreover, the tool also easily measures up to the best when it comes to impact force: Its tubular head is filled with steel shot. Upon impacting the striking surface on the stake, the shot filling follows with a slight delay. This ensures minimised rebound and allows the impact energy to be transmitted perfectly. Stakes can thus be driven into the ground with exceptionally powerful strikes.
The ergonomic and varnished hickory handle is extra durable and contours to your hand with every strike. The handle furthermore dampens vibrations and will usually not break into two parts thanks to the long fibres of the wood. It thus reduces the risk of injury significantly. In addition, the handle protection sleeves fitted on the welded-in-place hammer head keep the handle safe from damage in case of mis-strikes.
Halder makes the forestry sledge available in three versions: with a head diameter of 80 mm and a total weight of 3,600 g and with a head diameter of 100 mm and a total weight of 5,000 g or 6,500 g.
The forestry sledge from Erwin Halder KG lets you drive wooden stakes into the ground with gentle, yet powerful strikes.
Equipped with a durable, ergonomically formed hickory handle, wear-resistant inserts made of special nylon, and a high-quality tubular head filled with steel shot and fitted with a handle protection sleeve: The forestry sledge delivers the perfect combination of high impact force and work with minimum joint strain and maximum material protection.
